Fleet/Motor Vehicles (Z15)

Standards

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of work-related deaths in the U.S. Addressing this hazard requires a structured, proactive approach to identify system gaps and implement industry best practices.

What Is Z15

The ANSI/ASSP Z15.1 standard can guide an organization’s effort to develop policies, procedures and management processes to control risks associated with the operation of motor vehicles.

Z15

The ASSP TR-Z15.3 technical report supplements the Z15.1 standard and describes best practices for the safe management and operation of partially and fully automated motor vehicles.

Why Use Z15

Using the Z15.1 standard, safety professionals and their employers can assess a fleet’s risk, develop an action plan to close the gaps, implement corrective actions and continuously reevaluate the fleet management system.

The supplemental Z15.3 technical report helps organizations develop policies, procedures and management processes to control risks associated with the operation of partially and fully automated motor vehicles.
