Our Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) Certificate Program
The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) Certificate is designed for occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals who want to learn the key elements of an effective OHS management system, gain practical techniques to implement ANSI/ASSP Z10 or ISO 45001 and develop a deeper understanding of the auditing process and best practices. This program is designed for occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals with more than five years’ experience.
The program’s coursework is based on ANSI/ASSP Z10 and ISO 45001 consensus standards and covers topics ranging from system optimization and integration to project management and implementation and auditing. You’ll learn how to determine and implement an occupational health and safety system that best fits your organization’s needs.
You can earn the OHSMS Certificate by completing any three courses in the program, and if you complete all five courses, you will earn an Advanced OHSMS Certificate. While we provide guidance on which course to start with and which courses should follow, enrollees may take the courses in any order. To get the most value for you and your organization, the Advanced OHSMS Certificate is recommended.

How to Earn Your Certificate
Step 1: Enroll in Our Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) Certificate Program.
There is no fee to register for the program. However, there is a separate registration process and fee for each required course. Once you are enrolled, please continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Register individually for and complete three or five required courses within two years.

Step 3: Retrieve your certificate!
Upon completion of the required courses, ASSP will post your certificate within 48 to 72 hours in your profile at www.assp.org, (Log-in, go to My Account, Education & Content, Certificates). Download the certificate and display it to recognize your career achievement!
