The U.S. Department of Labor recently selected Scott Ketcham, M.P.A., CSP, as director of OSHA’s Directorate of Construction (DOC). Ketcham, a professional member of our National Capital Chapter, had served as deputy director of DOC since February 2017.
According to the agency, DOC provides workplace safety standards and regulations to ensure safe working conditions for the nation's construction workers, and coordinates with and provides assistance to other regulatory agencies on the implementation and enforcement of major construction laws and standards.
Ketcham has served as an OSHA acting deputy regional administrator, area director, assistant area director, and compliance officer and manager in regions across the U.S. He was a staff industrial hygienist with the U.S. Army Medical Activity for 5 years in Alaska and retired after 24 years of active and reserve service. Ketcham holds an M.P.A. in Business Administration and Management from University of Alaska and a B.S. from Texas A&M University.
