Randal Keller, a professional member of our Purchase Area Chapter, has been named the Jesse D. Jones Endowed Professor for Murray State University’s Jesse D. Jones College of Science, Engineering and Technology.
Keller’s endowed professorship, beginning fall 2019, is a 4-year appointment intended to recognize tenured faculty for accomplishments inside and outside the classroom. Endowed professors must provide enhanced learning opportunities to students, as well as scholarly productivity and visibility for the college.
"I am humbled to serve as the newest Jesse D. Jones Endowed Professor," says Keller. "I'm grateful to the university and to Dr. Jones for his generosity in establishing this endowment." Keller has been a Murray State faculty member since 1996. He was named the 2019 Sandra Flynn Professor of the Year and has led study abroad courses. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Toxicology from Utah State University, and a B.A. in Chemistry from Eisenhower College.
