Free Virtual Meeting
We are partnering with the Healthcare Practice Specialty to present "Mitigating 'Head-Scratching' Slips, Trips, and Falls - Shared Practices in Prevention" as part of a 60-minute free web call starting at 12:00 p.m. (CDT) on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The session will provide insight on developing policies or regulations, creating education and awareness, analyzing incidents and preventing future occurrences. Register Now

We are also sponsoring a session, “Gauging Employee Perceptions for Safety and Health” at the 16th Annual Alleghenies Regional Safety Conference in Johnstown, PA. The conference is Oct. 2, 2018. Volunteers Needed
While we have an engaged volunteer Advisory Committee, we are seeking an executive secretary to actively participate on our committee. This leader is responsible for attending our bi-monthly meetings, taking notes and distributing them to our committee members. Contact me for additional details.
Professional Safety Journal Article
Congratulations to the writers of “Medical Marijuana: Addressing Impairment in the Workplace” article that was published in the August 2018 edition of the Professional Safety. The article was an initiative of our practice specialty and provided some guidance on how to handle workplace impairment as states continue legalizing medical marijuana.
