Encouraging today’s OSH students helps ensure the success of future safety professionals. One way to do that is by learning practical tips and hearing advice from working professionals.
In one such outreach, President Jim Smith recently addressed students at Eastern Kentucky University about the future outlook for the OSH profession and how the Society supports safety professionals throughout their careers.
“The Society was a key resource for me when I was getting started in my career,” Smith says. “That’s why I believe it’s important to engage the next generation of leaders to help them understand what it takes to be successful as they transition from student to practicing professional.
