    Registration is open for the nation’s largest conference for occupational safety and health professionals. ASSP expects to draw more than 5,000 attendees from 40 countries to its Safety 2020 Professional Development Conference and Exposition. The event takes place June 23-25 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
  • Virtual Symposium Stresses Value of Safety Management Systems

    ASSP is holding a one-day virtual symposium that will focus on occupational health and safety management systems and how they can reduce injuries, illnesses and fatalities in any organization. The symposium will include four webinars and provide registrants with two standards for free.
  • ASSP Says Injury Rate Unacceptable, Calls for Employers to Act

    Nov 11, 2019
    ASSP is calling on employers to take steps to protect America’s workers from injury and illness in response to newly released data. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 2.8 million nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses occurred in 2018, unchanged from the previous year. It was the first time since 2012 that the rate did not decrease.
  • ASSP Foundation Accepting Applications for $400,000 in Aid

    The ASSP Foundation is accepting applications for scholarships and professional development grants through Dec. 1 for the 2019-20 academic year. More than $400,000 is available to occupational safety and health students and professionals, thanks to the generosity of corporate donors and the ASSP community.
