Study Aims to Help Employers Tackle Head Protection Challenges

Apr 23, 2024

As newer types of head protection — safety helmets, climbing-style helmets and bump caps — have become available, safety professionals and their organization's purchasing teams have more options. However, this growing selection can create confusion when trying to select the proper head protection for specific work environments.

To address this industry need, J. J. Keller & Associates Inc. and the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) have launched a collaborative research study to assess best practices and challenges employers face in providing the most effective head protection measures.

“Innovation in industrial head protection over the last decade has prevented injuries and potentially saved lives," says Cam Mackey, ISEA president and CEO. "However, with so many options available today, safety managers and users are understandably overwhelmed when it comes to choosing the appropriate level of protection."

The survey is open through May 2.
