ASSP Extends Deadline for Safety 2022 Speaker Applications

Sep 30, 2021

PARK RIDGE, IL — The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has extended the application deadline for speakers at its Safety 2022 Professional Development Conference and Exposition. Occupational safety and health experts now have until Friday, Oct. 15, to submit their proposal to contribute to next year’s professional conversation about workplace safety.

Safety 2022 will be held June 27-29 in Chicago as a hybrid experience that will feature online and in-person components, mirroring Safety 2021 that recently concluded in Austin, Texas. Proposed presentations should address key occupational safety and health issues as well as emerging matters relevant to the profession.

Attendees of ASSP’s annual global conference look to industry experts to expand their knowledge and skills, find solutions to their workplace safety challenges and learn about the latest trends in the profession.

“Our safety conference is always a dynamic learning and networking experience that helps attendees advance their careers and protect workers at their organizations,” said ASSP President Brad Giles, P.E., CSP, STS, FASSP, GIOSH. “Whether you’re an industry newcomer or a seasoned practitioner, there’s something more to learn every year.”

All speaker proposals for Safety 2022 will be reviewed by ASSP’s Conference Planning Committee. The applications are evaluated on the speaker’s presentation skills and experience, desirability of the topic, and alignment with conference objectives. No more than two proposals from one speaker will be considered.

Successful applicants will be notified by Feb. 25, 2022. For more information on submitting a proposal to speak at Safety 2022, please visit http://www.assp.org/call-for-presenters.
