This month, ASSP’s Standards and Tech Pubs Podcast discusses plans for the development of a guidance standard to address psychological safety and health in the workplace. The guidance document, ISO/AWI 45003, Occupational Health and Safety Management/Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace, will use ISO 45001 as a framework to discuss behavioral issues and psychological health, and ways to prevent and reduce these hazards.

The podcast features Ken Clayman, lead associate at Booz Allen Hamilton. He explains how stresses in the workplace, interactions between employees and pressures from a boss can manifest in psychosocial hazards and risk that can lead to illness, injuries and lack of productivity.
