Safety 2018, our annual professional development conference and exposition held earlier this month in San Antonio, enthusiastically embraced the change inherent to the occupational safety and health profession. From introducing ourselves as the American Society of Safety Professionals to launching a new website with a new logo and color scheme, we celebrated the diversity and energy of ASSP members who dedicate their lives to keeping workers safe. A group of more than 5,000 safety professionals, 600 exhibitors and 70 ASSP staff members helped make this event a reality, and the industry news coming out of the conference reflects their expertise and efforts. Here are some of the highlights.
