I am honored to be considered for the Region VII Regional Vice President position and welcome the opportunity to continue serving our profession and region. If elected, I will focus my efforts to: • develop a strategic plan for the region that demonstrates ASSP’s CLEAR values, • create a stronger community that fosters collaboration and open communication, and • assist struggling chapters regain momentum. To help have a better understanding of chapter successes and challenges, I will have one-on-one conversations with chapter leaders. Achievements will be celebrated; action plans will be developed, and issues will be elevated when necessary. Maintaining regular communication through email and website updates ensures chapter and region leaders have the most up-to-date information from the Society. Consistent conference calls, special committee meetings, and the regional operating committee meetings will foster collaboration in the region community. With increasing focus on the future, it is imperative that we continue to engage current and future leaders to help ensure longevity of student sections, chapters, regions, and the Society. Applying knowledge gained from best practices in previous leadership positions, I will mentor and support chapter leadership in generating engagement opportunities for members and drive continued success. Together we can create meaningful and valuable experiences for our members. I am excited about the opportunity to collaborate with volunteers of our region. If elected, I will work to the best of my ability to represent Region VII membership effectively and with great commitment. I appreciate your consideration and support.
