Phil Weinstein has over 28 years of experience in safety and industrial hygiene. His career started as a Hazardous Waste Technician, then laboratory safety, respirators and confined spaces. Phil took over the industrial safety program at Michigan State University, having the opportunity to develop a wide variety of OSHA programs for multiple operations and sites. Phil retired last year, and is building his consulting business, Weinstein Safety Consulting. Phil is proud to have earned a Masters Degree in Toxicology and hold the Certified Safety Professional designation.
I have been a member of ASSP for a number of years but have recently become more available to participate and volunteer more of my time. A need arose for the Assistant Administrator in the consultants division, and I am in a position to offer my unique skill set. I’d like to increase participation by informing others of the value of the CPS. In my time in the CPS I have benefited from the publications, mentorship program as a mentee, and attending the quarterly meetings
