It is my desire to bring my 20 years of manufacturing, operations, business and strategy experience, starting from being an intern within General Motors to the executive position I have today, to serve on the ASSP board. My diverse personal and professional background, my deep passion for occupational safety, health and the environment, and my dedication to advancing the mission of ASSP make me an ideal candidate. If elected, I am committed to furthering the Society's CLEAR values of community, leadership, excellence, accountability and respect. American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has always been so much more than the four-letter acronym we frequently use to refer to the Society. It has been a critical piece in developing my professional and personal network that I have used throughout my career to showcase leadership not only in the various companies I have worked for, but also within ASSP, serving and giving back to the safety community and my local community. I strive daily to be the best version of myself, showcasing excellence in all I do to gain the respect for those who I serve and work with and for. It is this constant accountability that drives me to do my best. I will take this same approach if given the opportunity to serve on the board by: a) driving for accountability to make sure the ASSP community is heard at all levels from the newest member who is learning about us to experienced members who have led the way for us to be able to achieve our accomplishments thus far b) leading by example and being a servant leader, and lastly giving and bringing my best to Society daily to ensure excellence and respect for the profession.
