Platform Statement

As a candidate for the Regional Vice President position within region 7, I am enthusiastic to present a platform focused on enhancing a total member experience. My vision for the region is built on four key pillars: Advocacy, Engagement, Education, and Empowerment. Advocacy: I believe that as safety professionals we must actively advocate for all members within our region. I will represent all of region 7 membership at the society level, ensuring that our memberships collective voices are heard across all levels of the organization; by collaborating with key stakeholders within our organization, this will drive meaningful change that supports advocacy for all region members. Engagement: A thriving organization is one where membership feels connected and valued. I am committed to enhancing member engagement through innovative networking opportunities, interactive forums, and collaborative events. By creating spaces for open dialogue, we can share regional best practices, experiences, challenges, and fostering a sense of belonging. Education: Continuous professional development is essential in our ever-evolving field. I support expanding our regional educational offerings to include diverse learning formats—such as webinars, workshops, and mentorship programs—that cater to all member learning styles. By prioritizing topics that reflect the needs of members and have access to the resources necessary for success in their careers. Empowerment through DEI: I believe that diversity in perspectives leads to more effective safety solutions. I am committed to initiatives that promote representation and inclusivity within our region. By actively recruiting talent from across our region and creating a pathway for a more diverse member experience across the region membership.
