As Area Director, I will focus first on helping boost engagement in our member community. There is no substitute for togetherness, and being able to connect and support one another is the lifeblood of our chapters. I envision a Southern Area where chapters can be positioned for long-term success. By combining the proven methods that have shaped our success with fresh, innovative approaches, we can engage the next generation of safety professionals while ensuring we maintain the wisdom and experience of our veteran leaders. Succession planning will be a priority and will plan on helping Chapters identify and develop the next wave of volunteer leaders to continue the success of their predecessors, or take their Chapters to heights they've never been. The core of the Directors position is to serve the Chapters, so they can to serve their local members, so they can better serve their community. It is and always has been about the worker. Everything we do, every decision we make, every initiative we pursue must come back to improvement of those we serve. My mission is to prioritize the worker in every decision and to foster an environment where chapter leaders thrive through collaboration, innovation and a commitment to workplace safety. I will operate with transparency, look to be a trusted advisor to the Chapters and create lasting relationships that strengthen both our chapters and the profession.
