My name is Amanda Shin, and I am seeking to serve as Area Director for Region 1, Area 2. With over 10 years of volunteer experience, including two terms as SF Chapter President and my current role as ARVP of Technology & Communication for Region I, I’ve gained invaluable insights into the resources available within ASSP. When I first started volunteering I had no concept of how the Chapter interacted with the Region and by turn interacted with ASSP Society. I want to make sure that everyone at the Chapter level knows that they have support and opportunities when they are ready to explore. If I am elected Area Director, I would: - Support and mentor local chapters, sharing knowledge to enhance their engagement and success. - Foster collaboration and mentorship by exploring innovative practices and ensuring effective communication across chapters. - Create an engaging environment where all members feel valued and empowered to contribute. I deeply value the opportunities ASSP has provided me and am committed to giving back by mentoring future leaders. Together, we can build a focused, results-driven volunteer community. I would be honored to represent you as Area Director of Region I, Area 2.
