Platform Statement

Ergonomics is a unique and multi-faceted discipline. As Safety Professionals become more responsible for a wide area of business practices, ergonomics integrates into each of these areas. Ergonomics is also unique in that the Principles of Ergonomic are applicable to all areas of Safety Practice and can provide unique perspectives and support for all ASSP Special Interest Groups and Practice Specialties.

As Assistant Administrator I plan to maintain or momentum of cooperation between the practice specialties, common interest groups and the Ergonomics Practice Specialty through our planned increase in Professional Development offerings that include webinars, Ergonomics Shorts (video clips) and Information distributions. In addition, I plan to work with the executive committee to encourage the increased use of Communities by our membership and grow our membership by encouraging safety professionals and other PS and CIG members to join our PS.
